Today marks the 250th anniversary of the
birth of Mozart. Understandably, cities all over Europe and the United States are celebrating in various ways. I've never been a particularly huge fan of Mozart's work - I prefer more modern orchestral music. But his genius, influence, and staying power cannot be ignored. And the man did give the world its first
clarinet concerto, with which I wrestled for many years (I lost).
