This article in today's
New York Times describes the lengths one man went to in order to recreate the home depicted in the Xmas classic
A Christmas Story. He funded this project by selling recreations of the famous electric leg lamp from the film (over 7500, so far). I'm as big a fan of the film as the next guy, but somehow paying money to see the house in which the movie was made is just a little too creepy for my tastes!
