Riding the Slippery Slope

The slippery slope is a time honored rhetorical technique: you argue that whatever your opponent supports, if it comes to pass, will result in a parade of horribles that nobody wants. Nowhere is the more evidence these days than in the debates over gay marriage. If legalized, the right wing says, it will surely lead to all sorts of nasty things.
