Two for the Show, by Kansas (1978/2008): When record companies started releasing old 2-LP live albums on CD, they frequently would cut off a tune or two in order to squeeze the album on one CD. Two for the Show was one of the worst offenders, cutting "Closet Chronicles" for the 1-disc fit. It's a great song to begin with, but the live version is an improvement over the original. Plus, the obvious pun of the title loses its zing when there's only one disc, no? So, when it came time for a 30-year anniversary version, the band restored "Closet Chronicles" and then some - ten other live cuts recorded during the same time. It's all the live Kansas just about anybody outside of a die hard fan needs.
