Album of the Day

The Music That Died Alone, by The Tangent (2003): If ever a band was aptly named, it was The Tangent. It started out as a solo project of Parallel or 90 Degrees keyboardist Andy Tillison, but slowly spiraled into a project involving prog heavyweights Roine Stolt (of Flower Kings fame) and David Jackson (from Van der Graff Generator). Before he knew it, Tillison had a full fledged band on its hand for this, its debut album. Four albums and a few lineup changes later, The Tangent is still going strong, cranking out an excellent modern mix of 70s-styled symphonic/Canterbury prog.
